Grandma send a package!

The kids enjoyed tearing into this package.  Grandma really hit the nail on the head with a fire dog (dalmatian) for Collin and a little pet play set for Kate.

Halloween

This was our first year to actually carve pumpkins.  Kate dove right in, but Collin wanted no part of it.  Our little fireman and fairy had a blast trick-or-treating.  The stomach flu threatened to ruin in but we rallied in time for the big day.

Our backyard a few days AFTER we already raked!

Leaf pick up day!  They plow them all into the street and collect them.

A kitty and scary guy pumpkin.

Kate's school Halloween party.

Fire Station Open House and Fall Fest

The day FINALLY arrived.  The Fire Station open house.  Collin has been asking about this day for months.  He was in his element.  Spraying fire hoses, sitting in fire trucks, putting out fires, and meeting real firemen.

Then we headed over to the Fall Fest and pet some animals and Kate rode a pony.

Circus!!

Grandma and Grandpa Laffin came down and visited and treated us to the circus.  We had so much fun.  I wasn't sure what to expect but it certainly exceeded my expectations!

Apple Picking

We learned from last year that apple picking starts earlier than you would think.  And the good apples usually are earlier in the season.  That combined with a smaller crop because of the weather made us get an early start on apple picking.  We headed out to Royal Oaks Farm.  It was a really nice place with a restaurant, orchard, and play area for the kids.  It is a Christian company and it was evident by all the scripture posted all around the place.  We had a great day with great weather.
