After a long day of a crabby clingy baby, I wanted to keep Kate busy while I prepared her dinner. Usually this involves her clinging to my leg whining while I hurry to heat up her food. I noticed that she seemed interested in Elmo when she saw him in a commercial on TV, so I found a episode of Elmo in Numberland on OnDemand on our cable. She was entranced by it. I felt a little guilty having the TV entertain her, but it was sooooo nice to make her dinner for a few minutes in peace.

More child safety measures

As you can see from these picture we now had to install cabinet locks to keep Kate out of the bottom cabinets. We left one unlocked that I filled with tupperware type items for her to play with. I'm not sure if this was a good idea or not because now they are constantly strewn on the floor, but it keeps her busy for a long time! They only problem is that the cabinet is kinda narrow and she gets stuck when she crawls inside. It's the only one that I can spare so it will have to work!
Ouch!
When I picked Kate up from the church nursery on Sunday they said she had a little accident. Although the picture doesn't show it too well she had a pretty good goose egg on her head. Apparently she fell while crawling off of one toy and trying to crawl into a tunnel they have. I have to say I wasn't surprised based on how active and daring she is. They said she cried for about a minute and then wanted to be put down to play some more!
