4th of July Bacation

Our 4th of July "bacation" (as Kate called it) was a two part trip. First we headed to Wisc Dells Wilderness Waterpark Resort. We rented a 2 bdrm condo and enjoyed all the different waterparks. It is quite an impressive place with several indoor and outdoor parks within the resort. Kate was so excited that when we exited HWY 90 into the Dells she kept yelling, "Yeah! Yeah! Bacation!!!" It actually brought tears to my eyes. It was fun to see her joy.

Our condo.

Ready to hit the water...

Collin started sitting on his own just in time.

Kate went down this slide about 100 times.

Lounge chair just her size!

Carriage ride.

Tuckered out.

The 2nd part of our trip was to my parents cabin which is not too far from the Dells. We had a full house with my Aunt and Uncle and 2 cousins with spouses or spouses to be.

S'mores by the firepit.

Our family picture...the best we could do.

My brother put Kate in a shopping bag.

View from the loft.

As excited as Kate was to get to "bacation" she actually sobbed in the car when she realized we were going home. To our real home. It was pretty sad. Who wants to leave "bacation"? Is our normal life that bad!?

End of June

We ended June with a visit from Dean's sister Angie and her husband Don and daughter Maggie. Kate had a blast with Maggie here and we squeezed in a trip to WI for a family reunion and a summer Christmas gift grab.

The kids with Grandpa Laffin.

The cousins celebrating Moriah's birthday.

I'm sure some cousin had something to do with this...

The sisters...reunited.

Collin with cousin Moriah...a.k.a. babysitter for the evening. God bless her.

Look who can sit all by himself!
